Quality Assessment

QHSE Concept > Qualité > Assessment

Is this for your company?

You need a Quality Assessment if you are a company or a publicly funded institution that would like to:

  • Introduce a continual quality improvement scheme but you do not know which quality certification to choose;
  • Introduce a continual quality improvement system based on a certification that you have already identified but you do not know how to go about obtaining it (e.g. an accreditation system, ISO 9001 certification, application for a label, a protected geographical indication (PGI) or a protected designation of origin (PDO), submission of your brand to the National Institute of Industrial Property Rights (INPI), etc.);
  • Analyse how well and to what degree a certification system depending on your business sector is already implemented in your organization (e.g. an accreditation system, ISO 9001 certification, application for a label, a protected geographical indication (PGI) or a protected designation of origin (PDO), submission of your brand to the National Institute of Industrial Property Rights (INPI), etc.).

Aims of the Quality Assessment:

  • To carry out a quick primary assessment based on the chosen objectives and reasons accounting for why you wish to have a Quality Assessment system;
  • To determine the certification that is best suited for your company pertaining to your business sector, e.g. ISO 9001, ecolabel, trademark registration, organic farming label, etc.;
  • To conduct a preliminary assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of your company, public funded institution, or business park in quality management terms as well as to ascertain your needs in general.

To act as a pre-requisite to implementing a certification procedure for the different certifications available:

  • ISO 9001 Certification;
  • ISO 22000 Certification;
  • FSSC 22000 Certification (ISO 22000 + PAS 220);
  • ISO IFS Certification;
  • ISO BRC Certification;
  • Protected designation of origin (PDO) procedure;
  • Obtaining a label: Organic farming label, label rouge, tourism quality label;
  • Recognition of a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) by the National Institute for Origin and Quality (INAO);
  • Submitting a trademark to the INPI;
  • Other certifications depending on your business sector.

How long does the process take?

The Quality Assessment is a specific, one-off service and it does not take very long.

It can take between half a day and up to two days depending on your company’s size and activities.
